Today we are opening the annual Virtual Reality Arcade IQ survey, which is fielded multiple times during the year with hundreds of VR technology providers, arcade and venue operators, and studio professionals worldwide in an effort to better understand the health and habits of organizations producing, adopting and investing in location-based virtual reality games, films and media. This survey provides proprietary industry- and sector-specific benchmarks, which can be used by companies to set priorities for the coming years.
The survey, which is developed by Greenlight Insights, the leader in market intelligence for virtual and augmented reality, is based on the Delphi Method, a structured communication technique originally developed as a systematic, interactive forecasting method including a panel of experts. The survey engages respondents to assess:
- Product and service models
- Financial performance metrics and expectations (revenues, mix, profitability)
- Operational performance metrics
- Technology use
This year, results from the survey will be presented in a keynote at VR Arcade Summit 2017 taking place October 26, 2017 in San Francisco, CA. We’re pleased to see that the survey and its report now serves as the de facto gauge for the VR community to find the pulse of the industry.
